Starbucks to Offer Free Coffee Daily for 30 Years

Yes, Starbucks' fans, it's true. This isn't just a wonderful dream. The coffee house legend will be making available this real-life dream for 100 lucky customers with a promotion that is slated to begin in early December.

Can you imagine it? Every day the chain is open you can go and choose one beverage or food item for free for 30 years!

Fortune.com reported that this marketing technique is intended to boost sales during the holiday shopping period, a time when sales at Starbucks lag a bit.

At this time, a Starbucks representative explained that when the promotion begins, Starbucks customers will have two opportunities each day to win one of the 100 special Starbucks' cards available "Starbucks for Life." The promotion will likely involve using the customer's Starbucks card or paying with a mobile device.

It's early now, but this gives you time to practice swiping that Starbucks store card or getting their app for your mobile device. You will be ready in plenty of time for the official launching of the promotion.

I had starbucks coffee exactly once and that was enough. All the starbucks in my area have closed down. Dunkin donuts seems to be the big player but I don't drink their coffee either.

I am not a Starbucks customer either. Like you, I had one cup of their coffee. That was enough for me -- and about three other people at the same time. lol

Lol, this makes the competition a little less stiff in your area, then, eh? I like coffee, but Starbucks is too much of a good thing.

There is a Starbucks cafe in the University but I haven't tried the stuff.

The prices are enough to keep me walking right on past. I brew a pretty good cup of coffee at home.

Yes, I imagine those folks who enjoy Starbucks coffee will keep the stores plenty busy.

We only have one Starbucks here. I am not too keen on it. I prefer to drink my own coffee.

I feel the same way. I never got into the Starbucks habit because I knew it was something I could not afford to do. I've gotten much better about brewing some great tasting coffee at home.

If you win I can imagine you in the thirtieth year emoticon

I'm still not sure if it would be worth drinking for free. Perhaps if Starbuck's were given to me, I could ensure the coffee was right.

Pity that I don't go to Starbucks often. As a matter of fact, I've only been to Starbucks once. Sad but true.

Nice. I know where I'll be come time to try for the win. I have a gift certificate right now I'm planning to use, so that would be perfect timing.

I know some family members who would love to win this. I'll have to ask if they know about it in their city.

Oh, this is a good thing! I go to Starbucks 2 to 3 times per week. Thanks for the heads up! Of course, I hardly ever win anything but this would definitely be cool.
