Another Rainy Day In Ohio

Surprise, surprise it is raining again here in Ohio. Yes, we did see the sun for a few moments. But I did not let myself get excited. I watched the news last night and the weatherman said we would have rain off and on today. I think he was wrong, though. The rain is more on than off. Sigh.

I know that we probably need the rain. It seems like we always need the rain. Yet, why do we always have to have blocks of rainy days in a row. Yes, it has been raining for days. We see the sun here and there. But it doesn't last long.

The good news is that we may get a break in a few days. The good news is also that the rain isn't accompanied with any storms. Other states have gotten really bad storms and tornadoes. I really shouldn't be complaining. Yet, I do. It is my human nature to complain. I complain because I really dislike gloomy days.

Alas, I will please the electricity company if it continues. I will turn on the lights in the room I am in and pretend it is sunny, when it is not. I will turn on a radio or something and drown out the sound of the raindrops. Pretending can work for a while.

It's been raining all day here on the east coast. Such is life.

It's been raining here for days and I am so tired of it. It really gets to my arthritis and just makes me miserable in general. Let's all hope for sunshine!

Raining to the west of you too, off and on. Forecast said 0% chance of precipitation, but I think someone was off by just a bit with that one. It's not raining hard, but drizzling, and even when it stops, the air is heavy and wet.

From here in Alabama one would swear they were living in Washington State. It seems to rain here all the time and when it's not, it is super hot, humid and muggy. The rain storms are downpours that actually are scary. The other day I was in one room and closed the door behind me and was sitting on the other side when the door started to rattle. That is a lot of rain. I was not too happy about that, spooked me a bit and it's not even Halloween yet. At least you seem to get a break and see the sun the same day there. My husband was just out that way for a business trip and the temperatures are much chillier than they are here. He was glad I packed him a flannel shirt in his suitcase.

We had rain here yesterday, too. The fall has turned so wet over the last few years! I remember cool, crisp weather that started in September, but now the fall starts later and seems to consist of mainly cold, wet days interspersed with hot days.

North central Ohio here -- we've had rain on and off, but have been treated to periods of sunshine in between. I was able to get out between the raindrops today and pull the plants from the garden in preparation for winter.

I love the sound of rain at night. It lulls me to sleep. I would love to see some rain, but hope it holds off until my nephew's wedding is over and we get safely back home. I always write better when it's overcast. When it's sunny I want to be out enjoying the outdoors.

I'll bet the weather is also getting cool there. Rain on a cold day sucks.
