Pella vs Renewal by Anderson Windows

Replacing a small bay window with cloudy glass with a much larger one is what I have been up to the last week. My wife and I went shopping for bay windows and narrowed the choices down to Pella and Renewal by Anderson. The Pella Quote was about 8,000 USD and the Anderson was about 13,000.

The Anderson window was better quality which was clear to both my wife and I with just a glance. We got Renewal by Anderson to drop their price to 8,997. and provide free one-year financing with no interest.

The job completed today (took a week) mostly because our old house made the installation very complicated. My view from the computer is much nicer now and I can see the birds at the feeders more clearly.

What a difference the new windows makes! You and your wife are super negotiators to get the Anderson price so much closer to Pella's price. I wish I'd had you two with me when I purchased my car. : )

I think we were lucky because their sales were in a slump around here.

That's a wonderful window. Wow, windows are expensive. They just dropped further down my list after reading this!

Looks great, but wow,so expensive! Good job negotiating the price down. We got new windows a few years ago for the entire house, and it was less than $25,000 (including a bay window). They are double-glazed, low-e, with integrated muntins and they tilt out for easy cleaning. They are Jeld-Wen brand. We've been quite satisfied with them, and it's a brand I would recommend.

What a nice view you have. I have been thinking of setting up a computer in my sun room so I can watch the birds while I work. Enjoy the new windows!

It is nice to get a nature fix while slogging away at paperwork.

I was shocked how much this stuff costs. It was double or more than what I was expecting.

That is a beautiful additon to your home. I think you made a wise choice to do this. It will be something you can enjoy for years to come.

We had to weigh all the things that need doing around here and somehow this made the top of the list.
