A Review of My Progress Toward Goals as a Friends of Persona Paper

It is nearly mid-month and time for me to take stock of my activity onsite. Am I on track to reach -- or even exceed -- the goals I've ascribed to as a Friends of Persona Paper? What is my progress toward my personal goals as a member here?

Friends of Persona Paper Goal Progress

  • Visit Persona Paper daily Check -- this is something I do without hesitation because I enjoy staying up-to-date with current connections and making new connections
  • Post at least 30 articles each month This is a goal that I must work more diligently to achieve. Regular, good quality posts help not only the site, but also myself as a writer.
  • Spend at least 15 minutes each day to read and interact onsite Check -- I spend in excess of a couple of hours a day at Persona Paper, mainly reading, commenting and interacting in general
  • Promote worthy Persona Paper content on social media, etc. Check -- again, this is something I enjoy doing, helping to spread the quality posts I find onsite with others via social media. There is such a variety of social media available to use. I am currently using Twitter, Pinterest and a newcomer, Scrazzle.
  • Use the &FOPP tag on articles Check. It's become second nature to me to use the FOPP tags on my posts so that others can readily find them if they so desire.
  • Make an effort to recruit new members to Persona Paper This is another area where I need to be more diligent. I have made some recruitment efforts, but for the most part they have as yet to be successful.

Personal Goals on Persona Paper

Fortunately, many of my personal goals are similar to that of the goals of &FOPP , so as I work toward the fulfillment of those goals, I am well on my way to fulfilling those I've made for myself. I am challenging myself to reach the personal goal of 60 posts/month. This will be a significant increase for me personally, but I am wagering I can do it.

How about you? Where do you find yourself in relation to your goals onsite?

I have not kept track. I certainly am on site more than 15 minutes a day but have forgotten my # tag a few times:-(

Naughty lady -- what shall we do with you? I was, for a time, placing reminders in comments on posts, but didn't want to seem like the sheriff of FOPP, so I stopped. It's all good, as "they" say. The posts and the interactions are truly the important aspects, yes?

My goals are fairly simple: post and read other's posts daily and comment whenever possible.

Feisty56 wrote on October 13, 2014, 2:34 PM

That ought to do it!

So far this month I'm ahead of schedule on posts and interacting time. I have done some promotion, but I could improve there. I do have my referral link out there, but probably should promote it more. I definitely visit daily, but may not be able to this weekend. I'm trying to work ahead on everything else. I do sometimes forget the tag.

I am definitely behind regarding some of the goals. I have not been posting at least once a day. I have not recruited anyone - yet. I know I need to work on getting on here every day, but sometimes I get too busy. Another goal of mine - quit making excuses! I have also believe that I have not been doing a very good job of the FOPP person this month, but I shall work on that. Feisty56 - you are fantastic!

I am a bit behind with my goals but I do try. I will be posting an update on the site statistics this weekend - don't get your hopes up!

I think you are doing very well! I'm not here every single day, but when I am, it's for quite some time, so I'm sure it averages out to well over 15 minutes a day!

Feisty56 Thanks for this post, we are all share similar goals, or at least we should have a similar way of approaching the interaction here. I definitely need to finish some personal stuff first so I can re-focus on my Persona Paper goals.

Check you out -- I rarely seem to be ahead of schedule and I don't do half the writing you do!

Feisty56 wrote on October 13, 2014, 5:29 PM

You have been doing just fine as FOPP clerk. It's just the second week of October, so you're not even behind yet. : ) Maybe you could try something like a M-W-F schedule for posting or something along those lines -- whatever fits in with your lifestyle and energy.

I've been spotting you around here fairly regularly since your list trip in the hills. It's been kinda nice. Don't get my hopes up that you'll write a statistics update this weekend, or get my hopes up about the statistics?

Feisty56 wrote on October 13, 2014, 5:37 PM

Aww, thank you. : ) I notice you've been going like a house afire with reading and commenting on the members list. I know this because when I get to them, you've already been there! It's a great idea and think only positive things can come from it.

I see you around here pretty often and am sure you are giving more than 15 min/day worth of time here. : ) We're still having fun at this, aren't we?

Sometimes it is easier than others to keep those goals in sight. They give us something to aim for, but whether we reach them or not is entirely up to each of us. I certainly want Persona Paper to prosper, because when it does, we do, but I also want myself as a member and writer to excel whenever I can.

Thanks for your pointers. I shall try that.

We are, indeed!

*Cracks whip* You need to get the to work! haha I keed iiiiiiiiii keeeed.

LoudMan wrote on October 14, 2014, 7:59 PM

We should add making referrals a part of our goals.

Feisty56 wrote on October 14, 2014, 9:51 PM

It's the final goal on the list, sir.

I do okay with the interaction most of the time, but I am way behind on posting. Why doesn't the rest of the universe realize that the world revolves around writing?
