The Rule of Good Government is to Secure National Freedom

It is truly indeed that people who belong to democratic country demands from the government the strength to allow the free exchange of ideas, beliefs and sentiments; an open speech among the people and between the people and those that govern them. Only through the pathway of unhindered dialogue--discussion and debate, protest and unanimity--can government and the people produce a firm consensus on directions, initiatives and policies necessary to the well-being of all people, the stability of government, the peace of our country and the virtue of the .

As a citizen, we need to have an assurance from the government to secure the people's well-being. I would like to quote a speech of one of greatest leader regarding the imperatives of having good government, needs to earn the respect of the governed. It must influence and encourage their faith. The people must be rest assured that their shelter and advocacy are well protected.

In our country, economics takes precedence over good governance. Why? Politicians who have adequate backing from established political machineries know that its a numbers game. A good portion of our society lives on average or is below the poverty line; therefore these people would rather choose what will put food on the table rather than choose wisely! Ultimately, we choose to live our own misery instead of making sure the right people stay and run the country properly.
