It's Time To Liven Up My Blog

I have been debating for a long time over where to focus my attention when it comes to writing, and I have been looking at writing more on what was the main blog that my wife and I set up 6 years ago.

However, with hundreds of articles from Squidoo and Yahoo Contributor Network, both of which were recently discontinued, I have been focusing on trying to revamp those articles and to re-post onto various sites. It's been a slow process, something that will probably take me the best part of six months, if not more, and as a result that once loved blog hasn't been paid much attention.

Since we got a wildlife camera just over a week ago, I have decided that I would like to write a series of articles about our local wildlife, trail cameras, and tips for using them.

I don't think that Persona Paper is the right place for those articles, but I do think that my blog is, since a lot of the content will be personal, and it will fit in with much of the other content there. It will also, I hope, give me the inspiration to write the travel articles that I have wanted to, but also have not known exactly where to place them.

It doesn't mean that I won't be writing here though, because there are so many topics that I enjoy writing about, so you will still see me around, probably about the same as you have done actually, since I am always too busy to spend enough time writing.

So far I have wildlife two articles up on my blog, which I hope it's ok to drop a link to Off The Record With Debbie And Tony .

Please let me know if the link needs to be removed and I will do so.

I'm way behind on my blogs, too, and I'm hoping to have time after the election to start reposting some of the material that isn't doing well at HubPages to the appropriate places. I also have lenses I deleted that I need to decide what to do with. Seems like a never-ending job.

I also am having second thoughts about HubPages. Most of my material there (and elsewhere) is personal and HubPages doesn't seem to be the correct place for it. I also have lenses I kept back and didn't transfer to HubPages and I am still looking for a home for them. I am considering Google Blogspot - it seems very eclectic.

I think only referral links are banned here.

We're always glad to see you when you have time to pop in. I wish you the best of success with your blog updates -- and getting to those travel articles.

I think on Squidoo we tended to publish all types of content, but Hubpages does seem to have a different focus and some types of content definitely work better than others on there.

I have several "lenses" that are really personal, and they would work much better if posted on my own blogs. Yet another task I need to work on, but if I added those to the blog that I am putting my Wildlife content onto, it could work, although I might need to put a front page up to show the latest posts in the main categories, rather than just the latest posts. Hmmm... yet another idea that came to me as I wrote a comment :)

That's what I thought, but just wanted to make sure. It's never good to be overly promotional, but sometimes you need to add a link.

Thanks. I will be still publishing here, because not everything fits right on my own blogs, and besides I REALLY do want to see PP succeed.
Maybe the new Google Penguin update will make a difference. Who knows, but the one thing we do get here is some good quality content.

Always great to try a new piece of equipment and see it work! emoticon

YOu're allowed to post any links that aren't affiliate links, I think. A link to your blog seems fine. I do hope to see you continue in here!

Sure. The brand is Acorn, I have links to it on my blog site. You can get it from Amazon and other sites, just need to make certain that it's a reputable supplier, because there are some fakes out there. I am working on doing a full review of the camera very soon, we love the videos we are getting.

I will still be here, I feel bad I'm not writing more here as it is.

Anyone on bubbles, who plans on putting work from other sites there ,will find that they have to do another 400 characters also.
