The Gang Is Almost All Here
It’s been hot today and most of the neighbors’ animals have all been in evidence, mostly at our house. When I got here, I filled Sarah’s water dish. She has taken to hanging out in the box on our porch. You see her there in the top photo, and if you look closely, you can see she may not approve of all that’s going on around here. She is lying low, staying out of the way of the newest member of our neighbor’s family – the puppy.
This is the puppy . I wonder if he will ever grow into his paws? I can’t remember his name. I thought I’d never get a photo of him standing still. He has been running all over the porch, except where Sarah is lying. He finally sat down on the other side of the driveway, so I caught him with my zoom. Then he was back again.
He has been pestering the almost grown kitten , who is lying beside the pot that contains a couple of herbs. I couldn’t get the two of them together because the puppy either blocked the view of the kitten or kept moving. Would I ever like to have that puppy’s energy.
Meanwhile, our neighbor’s other and more mature dog , Lizzie, has been quieter than usual. Usually when the puppy is out she barks like crazy and strains at her leash. Maybe today it’s just too hot for her to care that the puppy is free and she isn’t.
The only one I haven’t seen out today is Garfield.
