My Video Project - Wish me Luck

Well, thanks to Kasman I had to give this a try. I read his artical about adding video links to your postings here on PersonaPaper and had to give it a try. You can read his full story ** Here ** and see if it works for you.

Actually my husband and I have a youtube page and have been thinking about adding some instructional videos for some of my recipes.

I have to say that this video that I am going to "try" to post here with the links is linked to our facebook page, so we will see if it works.

I thought I had found something wonderful in one of the kitchen stores I went into while we were in North Conway, NH shopping one day. When we got home we decided to make a little video for my mother in law to show her that I didn't have to peel all those apples by hand any more. Apple video is ** Apple Video Here **

Well she politely while laughing told me that I was 20 years too late!! It had been around forever, and that I didn't find anything new.

Oh, how we laughed and she still laughs at me every year when I go apple picking... "So Tina.. you gonna use your new gadget again".... can you hear her laughing... I can.

I love my mother in law and she keeps are life moving and full of laughs and love.

Excellent! This is precisely the sort of thing I had in mind when I suggested we could use video to enhance our posts. By the way, when you insert the URL into the link if you choose the 'New Window' option instead of 'None' then when the viewer closes the video window they will be brought back to your post instead of wandering off somewhere else - this will keep them on the site and, hopefully, encourage them to interact more.
PS: Again I must point out that I am not the first to use video on posts. bestwriter has been doing it for a while and I believe some others have also tried it.

Kasman - Thanks, I just corrected it so it would open up into a new window. Thanks for the tip.

Great job, Tina, and so much fun to see you in person. I have a few cooking videos, too, but I made them to use on my Squidoo recipes which are now on HubPages on my BarbRad account. On YouTube they aren't much because each video is only part of the action.

Nice, I just watch the ones when you were making the bread.

That bread is very good. I make it once a year for the friend we see on Christmas Eve. She loves that bread, and I don't dare show up on Christmas Eve without it.

It sounds to me as if both you and your mother-in-law have a healthy sense of humor -- how nice for both of you!

Yes, I've had one of those new gadgets for about 20 years.

Your mother-in-law sounds wonderful!

That was a good effort. Hope to see more of your video clips. Creating video clips has been my passion for a long time now. Youtube has software that is free where one can edit video clips. The only thing is that one has to do it online. I have a problem with the windows movie maker. Am on the look out for a movie maker that can be worked on off line. Persona does not take our clips from our folders but we need to transfer them elsewhere and then post them as links. Face Book takes them directly.

Thank you, and Yes... she is a hoot!

Thank you. My husband uses Windows Movie Maker. We have one that we did of our grandchildren, back when we only had 3 of them and not almost 7 - I will have to post it so you can see what we've done with it.

All the video clips that I have at the moment - there are several - were done through the windows movie maker when I had windows X P. I now have windows 7 and I am not comfortable with it. I had uploaded a video in my post Wonder if you were able to open it.

tinamarie wrote on October 4, 2014, 7:54 PM

I just posted the one that we did of our 3.5 grandchilren in 2007

bestwriter wrote on October 4, 2014, 7:57 PM

Did you open mine? Normally I get many comments on my posts but this one where I have posted a video the comments are zero. I am concerned.

tinamarie wrote on October 4, 2014, 7:58 PM

I love it! Apple picking tomorrow so it will come out of storage and be used for the next 5 days!

She's a gem! Really, she is.. I guess I'm lucky to be able to say that! Since my mother passed 2 years ago, she has stepped right in and has taken over as my mom. She is truly a wonderful woman.

tinamarie wrote on October 4, 2014, 8:02 PM

Oh yes... I opened it and listen to your poems! I loved them, but didn't leave a comment. I had to copy and paste your link into a separate window because you couldn't just click on your link.

I had never thought about using video clips to enhance my posts, but this is a really good idea.
