Friends of Persona Paper Week 4 September 2014

Friends of Persona Paper, FOPP, is a group of site members

who have taken a special interest in supporting

Persona Paper and encourage it's growth.

Anyone and everyone is free to join in this challenge.

Friends of Persona Paper merely provides an organized challenge to its members to meet or exceed these goals each month:

* Visit Persona Paper daily

* Post at least 30 articles

* Spend at least 15 minutes daily reading and commenting

* Promote worthy Persona Paper content on social media, etc.

* Use the FOPP tag on our articles

Again, Friends of Persona Paper is a challenge. Each of us might meet one or more -- or all five goals in a month. There is no penalty and the reward is the benefit of your posts and interactions -- and helping to make Persona Paper the best it can be.

Current Members of Friends of Persona Paper

Shall we add your name to the challenge?

***** Friends of Persona Paper would like to give recognition to two site members, who although not partaking in the challenge, have shown themselves to be dedicated to Persona Paper and its continuing growth: bestwriter and LoudMan *****

In other business:

SLGarcia has volunteered to be the FOPP clerk for October. We will need a new volunteer each month. SLGarcia , I know you spoke up yet in August; is October going to work for you?

I have yet to put together the polls I stated would be forthcoming to get feedback on some suggestions made by Ruby3881 , but will do so within the next 24 hours. (Fingers crossed)

If you're interested in taking the Friends of Persona Paper challenge, just leave a comment below and we'll cheerfully add you to the list.

Edited 9/25/2014 in the light of day to correct list of members. : )

Edited 9/26/2014 to add new group members.

Thanks for that but somehow - with due respect to for his sincerity - I am not for forming groups.

BarbRad wrote on September 25, 2014, 2:09 AM

With all due respect to bestwriter , some of us need that sense of having committed to something to give ourselves a push when we really don't feel like writing. Thanks for taking this on, Feisty56 . You've done a great job. The month has sure passed quickly.

suffolkjason wrote on September 25, 2014, 2:44 AM

Great write up Feisty56 - one small typo - should be JanetJenson

bestwriter wrote on September 25, 2014, 4:44 AM

I have been watching you from day one and never felt that you ever needed any push emoticon

paperdaisyflower7 wrote on September 25, 2014, 5:55 AM

hmm I think I can do the visit daily, the reading and promoting. But I had a bad experience i shared my most recent post in a group and someone wrote under it the "persona papers is bullshit" I told him to please not bad mouth my article or I will complain to the admin and he tells me "How dare you". To prevent arguing I deleted my post on the group. I can share is name with elitecodex or MaeLou so they will be aware.
so 3 out of 5 is not bad. Oh how do I tag FOPP?

SandraLynn wrote on September 25, 2014, 6:26 AM

I am sorry you had that issue, but remember - it was one person and in the grand scheme, he or she doesn't much matter. We know Persona Paper is not bull... So THERE :) Stand tall for what you believe. Haters gonna hate. AND, you cannot control people, places, things - only your reaction TO them :)

As for tagging FOPP - you do it with a pound sign before the FOPP part so it highlights. # and then FOPP - no spaces.

Cheers :)

GREAT job this month, feisty girl :) &FOPP forever :) YAY :)

paperdaisyflower7 wrote on September 25, 2014, 9:30 AM

thanks maybe on my next post that guy was a pain too

Feisty56 wrote on September 25, 2014, 9:44 AM

I understand your feelings on joining groups and the negative experiences you've had in the past to warrant those feelings. The recognition in this post in no way suggests you are a member of this challenge, merely acknowledges your efforts here on Persona Paper. : )

Feisty56 wrote on September 25, 2014, 9:45 AM

September has gone quickly. I hope you're making good headway to get everything in order as you'd like it to be should your surgery on your neck become a reality.

Feisty56 wrote on September 25, 2014, 9:47 AM

Thanks. I wrote this going on midnight my time, something that I likely won't repeat in the near future. lol

Feisty56 wrote on September 25, 2014, 9:49 AM

I think what I'm reading here is that you'd like to join the FOPP challenge? I'll add your name to the list if my deduction is correct.

Feisty56 wrote on September 25, 2014, 9:54 AM

Awww, thank you. I'm grateful that suffolkjason took up the slack and gave me a helping hand. It's nice to see the FOPP challenge coming along so well and even more rewarding to see Persona Paper grow -- if not by leaps and bounds yet, at least things are moving in a positive direction.

BarbRad wrote on September 25, 2014, 12:46 PM

&Feisty56I don't know what to hope, but that computer crash sure threw a monkey wrench into the preparation process.

bestwriter I may not have needed it on day 1, but sometimes I need it now. When I joined I hadn't expected Squidoo to sell out to HubPages and have all the additional work on that site to do.

GemOfAGirl wrote on September 25, 2014, 1:56 PM

I tend to be a bit commitment-phobic on all things internet-based, but I've been doing my own little private challenge to myself to be more consistent, and while I've not exactly met my own goal for myself, I think I've done better with it than I expected to. So, based on that, I'm more willing right now to take it to the next step - add me to the FOPP list!

Heyyy, I got some more new friends :)

Ruby3881 wrote on September 25, 2014, 4:05 PM

k_mccormick2 - tagging you so you can find this post later, since you were interested :)

bestwriter wrote on September 25, 2014, 8:08 PM

I did not know # was a pound sign. I thought it was known as hash emoticon

SandraLPetersen wrote on September 26, 2014, 9:35 AM

I'd like to join the group but I'm not a recruiter and it's difficult for me to find time to write many posts. Like today. Just now I got called to work on my day off. Someone must have not showed up.

I will try to promote posts I like and read and comment 15 minutes a day. I do see many people I have connected with on that list.

SLGarcia wrote on September 26, 2014, 11:24 AM

Yes, October still works for me. I guess I need to get busy and figure out what exactly I need to do.

Feisty56 wrote on September 26, 2014, 11:53 AM

I've noticed you've been posting pretty regularly -- good for you for meeting your own challenge! And now we welcome you to Friends of Persona Paper. : ) It's fun to have others to help nudge, support and sometimes cajole you on your way.

Feisty56 wrote on September 26, 2014, 11:54 AM

I know, it's exciting isn't it? And the list of new members continues to grow too. : )

Feisty56 wrote on September 26, 2014, 11:56 AM

The more, the merrier here, k_mccormick2 . I hope as you read the goals, you'll understand they are just goals and nothing written in stone. It just gives us a mark to shoot for.

Feisty56 wrote on September 26, 2014, 11:59 AM

Welcome, then, to Friends of Persona Paper. : ) Each of us just do the best we can toward reaching those goals -- some months are better than others, depending on what life brings our way.

I hear you about the recruiting. It's not one of my strong points either, but I'm going to try to hang in with the "big dogs." lol

Feisty56 wrote on September 26, 2014, 12:03 PM

Excellent! Truly, it's easier than I made it look. A restatement of the challenges goals, an updated group list and anything else that comes to mind or is brought up by members in comments or posts. SuffolkJason helped me to get started and I'm happy to offer you any assistance if you should need it.

You're going to do just great. : )

suffolkjason wrote on September 26, 2014, 12:36 PM

:) Should be Sandra not Sanda

Feisty56 wrote on September 26, 2014, 12:51 PM

Thank you for the great looking -out!

SLGarcia wrote on September 26, 2014, 8:04 PM

I do hope so - I have big shoes to fill :)

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 29, 2014, 8:58 PM

I've fallen way behind for September between offline obligations and vacation. But I'm back now and I'll try to get caught up this week.

Feisty56 wrote on September 29, 2014, 9:01 PM

I've been thinking about you and Guiness and have been meaning to write a little note on your profile. Whew! I am relieved the bossy cat was not holding you for ransom. Welcome back. Onward and Upward, Together!

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 29, 2014, 10:59 PM

This is Guiness the Cat. I am NOT bossy. And I would have been glad to continue posting had Debbi not unplugged the computer while she was gone. I think she just doesn't want to admit that I am much more interesting than she is, and I make much more money.

Feisty56 wrote on September 30, 2014, 12:14 AM

Guiness, Guiness, it's good to have your humble self back too.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 30, 2014, 3:12 PM

This is Guiness the Cat. I AM adorable, aren't I?

SLGarcia wrote on October 1, 2014, 9:29 AM

Here it is October 1st. Busy morning today but I shall work on this later today!

Feisty56 wrote on October 1, 2014, 10:02 AM

I am confident in your success and await your post.

FreyaYuki wrote on October 16, 2014, 4:51 AM

I've been seeing the FOPP tag in some articles that I've read here and I've been wondering what it means so it's good to find this post and finally find out that FOPP means Fiends of Persona Paper.

Add me, please :) I like it.. I wanna be a part of this challenge!
