Threat of losing account on Persona Paper - Not cool due to not logging in
I was just recently contacted by PersonaPaper via email that I would be in threat of losing my account due to not logging in for a while. I didn't know that this thing was like a forced job detail where if I don't write here for a length of time, then my writings and efforts are considered null and void.
Not sure how good for business is this, I actually enjoy writing here from time to time, and would never write anything to downgrade this writers network or community actually. So to make this clear I think that policy needs to change if the community is to keep writers here for long terms, because that doesn't seem fair!
Okay don't with all this now I'm going to go about my business as usual, that kind of seemed very forceful, but I will ignore the email for now. Logged on Sept 24th 2014 at 12:54 am. To save my 40+ articles in threat of being deleted I guess. That wouldn't be cool neither, what if I didn't get to the email in time, what if I was in the hospital or on a long vacation without any Internet or Wifi.
Think about it PP team, and please don't get rid of those folks who actually care about the place, or it's really shooting yourselves in the foot!
I do hope this is message is taken well, I mean no harm with it, and speaking my mind as how this action made me feel, god honest truth!!

Welcome back!!
I faintly remember interacting with you - how long ago was that? But that was a nice experience You appeared to be a good member. Having said that expecting huge payments when the site is just about making its presence on the Net to my mind is not fair They need you to help them come up. So get back and participate.

I think we need more members instead of losing them. I do remember that clause in the contract. My understanding would be per case reasoning like hospital stay, extended vacation, or a move where a person need time to get reconnected to internet. Which at one time, took me a couple of months. Just thought, that I toss my two cents in the barrel.

Perhaps some kind of 'right of appeal' is needed here. A good reason for being absent shouldn't lead to dismissal!

I understand your frustration. It's almost like your boss at work is having a go at you for not being there and not providing a valid reason! Perhaps PP could suspend an account instead of deleting it. That would preserve your work and leave the door open for your return.

First off, welcome back. Perhaps an account suspension is in order and not the suspension of the account.

Bubblews does not delete accounts like pp does. Bubblews is more understanding. This is why Bubblews is one of the top writing sites.
melody23 wrote on September 24, 2014, 8:07 AM
But they also have a huge spamming problem, massive issues with plagiarism and take 30 days to pay IF they pay at all which of course they will not actually tell you if they are going to or not and if they don't you are unlikely to find out the reason why. I know of at least a dozen people who have emailed them loads of times and not had a response between them. Bubblews is far from a top writing site, its a very popular site because people make money there but that's it.

We don't require that you write anything, just login. You don't even have to comment or look at a post... just login. If you are unable to, just let us know and there isn't any problem. We had a massive number of people join and leave and want a general idea of how many people are really here and those that gave up on us. It also helps with knowing how much money we have out there considering a large chunk of our money was taken away when AdSense banned us. If people leave, we can then put that money into the members who are still here.
elitecodex wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:02 AM
It doesn't even have to be good... just send us an email and let us know and there isn't any problem. You can tell us you are going to Mars and won't be logging in for a while, sounds good to us. But taking that extra step of letting us know tells us that you still want to be a member as opposed to those who simply left without saying a word.
There are many that fall into the later category that would still have coins out there if we didn't have some policy like this.
elitecodex wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:04 AM
Not a bad idea actually. Would help both us and the members... I like this idea better in all honesty and will look into it shortly.
Kasman wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:11 AM
Perhaps you could write a post to make this clear to all members - and include it in the sign up page for those just joining.
Kasman wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:13 AM
I don't regard Bubble Ooze as a writing site - it's site people write on but that's not the same thing.
melody23 wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:29 AM
yeah the stuff there is hardly high quality is it?
LoudMan wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:46 AM
Some kind of "vacation mode" might be helpful. Some of us end up on the road for awhile, at times.
LoudMan wrote on September 24, 2014, 9:46 AM
Announcement of a vacation mode option might be really helpful, Will.
elitecodex wrote on September 24, 2014, 10:07 AM
Yeah automating the 'vacation' mode would be helpful as well. I will update the FAQ/Rules today with that and the signup page to at least make it more visible to those who are unaware. I honestly thought that was already in there, but perhaps it was a post made sometime ago and many may have missed it.
I do like the idea of a vacation mode and suspending the account for an extended period and will begin to investigate that today as it should be something we do.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.

See though? You popped in and were a voice for change. That has to count for something! :) A good thing, really. I see both sides of this and honestly? Change or amendment doesn't have to be all bad. Thanks for weighing in - I think the owners are swell with listening to feedback and taking seriously into consideration what we want or need; further implementing it if possible :) YAY :)

Are you SERIOUS??? Go to BubblewsWatcher's or BubblewsSupport2's page and see how many hundreds of accounts get deleted every month.
AliCanary wrote on September 24, 2014, 6:47 PM
You don't have to write anything--all you have to do is log in once every 30 days to keep your account active. That's hardly unreasonable. If you do care about the place, it would be nice for you to contribute.
vserrao1 wrote on September 24, 2014, 10:02 PM
That's because those account holders broke the rules on Bubblews. They deserve to get their accounts deleted.
Bensen32 wrote on September 24, 2014, 11:09 PM
Oh, this makes more sense, I log in now and then and comment when I have something to say or other times just read an article or two and move on. Kind of like right now
Glad to see I am not being forced to write something or get kicked. When I have something good to write I will do it.
FreyaYuki wrote on September 25, 2014, 6:47 AM
I agree with you. I haven't actually gotten that email but that's because I always try to log on to the site at least every once in a while so my account doesn't get deleted. It would be great if your account didn't have to be deleted just because you weren't able to log in. There are many valid reasons, like the ones you mentioned, that might prevent people from being able to log in to the site and this should be taken into consideration.

I love watching Cap'n Moistfanboy try telling lies to defend his buddy Arvind. Heck, I defended the guy too, until I also came to see just how horribly they treat others. Cap'n Moistfanboy will experience this too. And, it will be at a time when he needs the money the worst. I will laugh at him, too, like others have done for me.

"Bubblews does not delete accounts like pp does. Bubblews is more understanding. This is why Bubblews is one of the top writing sites. "
And then, "That's because those account holders broke the rules on Bubblews. They deserve to get their accounts deleted. "
oooOOOoooo...somebody's swampy for Arvind. Hahahaha. You'd say or do ANYTHING for $50, wouldn't you, Victor?
AliCanary wrote on September 25, 2014, 3:06 PM
Even though Will is changing things, it's been CLEARLY stated in the TOS that if an account is inactive for more than 30 days, it can be deleted. Those are rules.
vserrao1 wrote on September 25, 2014, 10:06 PM
Donny boy, when you get $50, it goes straight to the liquor bottle. The next time you make 50 dollars, send the money to your kid. Are you jealous of Arvind? Arvind would never associate with alcoholic garbage like you.
vserrao1 wrote on September 25, 2014, 10:11 PM
Donny, you are nothing but a Louddrunk. Nobody is scared of your ranting and raving. I definitely am not scared of you. The only time you are tough is when you are drunk.
I feel sorry for your ex-wife and child. She is a single mother raising a bitter child because his daddy is worthless. I hope the next man she meets will be a father to your child, because you're not.

Well, moist fanboy, you like to make a lot of assumptions. It's hard being a dumbass, aint it? Poor little helmet-head.
LoudMan wrote on September 26, 2014, 1:04 AM
Who's trying to scare you? Thanks for sharing what's really on your mind, moist fanboy. :D I'm going to smile when you put up your first post crying about how unjust and unfair they've been to you. That will be delicious.
LoudMan wrote on September 26, 2014, 1:08 AM
Yup. No ambiguity here, at all. But, don't you just love how desperately swampy fanboy vserrao1 is trying to hold on to his belief he won't be done wrong? Poor, little, moist fanboy. It's going to be so funny to know he'll be getting evicted soon, for trusting in Arvind. Yup. I will love the show. :)

I am very happy with the new policy. I was afraid I might be deleted if I had the major surgery that may be facing me soon and I was physically unable to log in. It would be nice if I could keep earning while I'm off line, but its sure better than having my account deleted and having to start over. Life happens. We can't always predict it times when a disaster, natural or health, may keep us from having an online life. My husband wouldn't know how to log in for me. It would take a major disaster of some kind to keep me off this site that long.

One of the many things about this site that I like is that it is monitored well. I would like to see it grow, but not to the outrageous point that Bubblews is at now - out of control.
