Lays Salt and Vinegar Chips are so good, but ...

If you love potato chips with a bit of a zing, Lays Salt and Vinegar chips just might be the snack for you. But, like any snack ... or even most snacks ... it does have its pros and cons.

After considerable taste testing (I've been eating them for years), I've found the following points that you might want to consider:

Pros of Lays Salt and Vinegar Chips

Very crisp potato chip

Good balance of taste between the vinegar and salt

Great flavor that goes well with dips

Sturdy packaging

Cons of Lays Salt and Vinegar Chips

Chips are small, which makes them very hard to use for dipping

The vinegar/salt leaves a residue on the hands (a napkin is always needed)

Potato chips aren't particularly nutritious and are relatively high calorie (true of most chips)

Chips are small, which makes them very hard to use for dipping. Very hard! (Are you listening, Lays?)

Don't take just my opinion for it, though. Give them a try. If you're not sure you'll like them enough to buy a big bag, then look for one of the snack sizes. They can usually be found near the grocery store check out counter. And don't just try them alone, try them with dip, too!

You forgot, "First three chips are the best thing you ever tasted; any following chips make you sorry you opened the bag." LOL! These are good, but way too strong for me.

Let me slightly digress from the topic. I hate common dips emoticon

I love salt and vinegar chips, most usually any brand. YUM! Thanks for the review on these :) We call them "stinky feet" chips, lol. So good!

They do sound like they would be really good. Sadly for me I generally have to really limit my salt intake.
