AFK Over the Weekend: What Have I Missed?

Apart from a minute or two, I've been away from the keyboard for the last 2 days. I see that Loudman has been very busy! I hope he soon starts to get the views he deserves. Is there any other Persona Paper news? I notice there are a few initiatives to help Persona Paper grow:-

  • Loudman is leading by example. Moving his most viewed articles from the other site to Persona Paper. A one man crusade to boost Persona Paper's content and Google index value.
  • Loudman is sponsoring a referral contest.
  • BarbRad is encouraging us to promote Persona Paper at Scrazzle
  • Friends of Persona Paper is ongoing.

Are there any initiatives I've missed?

Any other Persona Paper news?

Do you mean to say you want to know what non-FOPPs are up to? emoticon

MegL wrote on September 22, 2014, 5:47 AM

Think you got most of it as far as I recall.

There was quite a bit of activity as far as new posts over the weekend, but I'm sure your Activity page reflects that. Loudman lead the way with more posts than I've yet had time to read, but plenty of other PPers were busy, too. I hope you enjoyed your days away from the computer -- sometimes they are just so necessary to re-energize and re-focus.

I have surveillance on the significant non-FOPPer's emoticon :winking:

suffolkjason wrote on September 22, 2014, 8:47 AM

I did, thanks.You're right about re-energizing.

What exactly are you looking for. Are you looking for number of posts or heavily viewed posts - not quite clear. In the last few days there has been little activity and according to me you have not missed much.

suffolkjason wrote on September 22, 2014, 10:13 AM

Just any significant news or developments.

bestwriter wrote on September 22, 2014, 10:30 AM

If you are talking of developments in Persona then Admin should be talking about it. And as far as posting articles there is no point in doing it if the one's already posted have no view or very few views. Hopefully this scenario should change in course of time.

Yeah! Barb published a big long political thing that is controversial to try to make content and get outside views. This was immediately followed by a post from LoudMan saying that activist posts don't make money. I wasn't thinking of it as an activist post when I wrote it. i just thought it might bring in people on both sides of the issue. I guess I'd better stick to nature and cats. The funny thing is, I don't really like guns. I would never want to own one, and would only do it if I felt things had broken down so much it was necessary.

suffolkjason wrote on September 22, 2014, 1:23 PM

I think the gun post could do well- especially if a discussion gets started and it's shared on social media for others to chip in. Having said that, I do think it's a subject for USA citizens to discuss, people outside the USA just don't appreciate how passionate people are about this- on both sides. Then there are endless statistics- on both sides. I've never seen a clam discussion about gun ownership and I've never seen anybody change their mind.

Plus see my reply to Loudman - I think Persona Paper is suitable for all sorts of posts. If we attracted political geeks it would be great for content, quality inbound links and ad revenue. I think the most important thing is to commit to PP for the long haul- and the surest way to achieve that is to post about stuff you love and hopefully connect with people that share your passions.

suffolkjason I try and do my best here. I have not been very active at all online lately. I guess I am having a slump or dry spell. I will eventually beef it up again.

suffolkjason wrote on September 22, 2014, 2:10 PM

No worries- we all have dry spells and distractions- the most important things is to be here for the long-term- much better that than let it become a chore and then switch-off.

I get to sleep indoors if I finish the laundry and make dinner!

It's not Persona Paper related, but my news is that I am still British!

I've been sharing other PPers post on Twitter and I'm glad to report that some of those tweets have been retweeted. I guess that helps in getting the word out about Persona Paper.

Not much going on here. The bones on my left hand have healed now have to wait for the tendons and nerves to heal before I can go to work. Could be another weeks, a writing, I go, a writing I go.

suffolkjason Again, this week I have been sidetracked. It seems my kids came to stay with me because of they crazy guy in the woods. Their school was closed. So, I hardly got online the whole week. Again, I am hoping to get more active.

New news-- BarbRad started a challenge for us to come and support you, and I think it's a wonderful idea. I want to thank you for all you have done for us here, and I really hope that you can and will come back to hang out with us some more.
