How Do you insert multiple images

I have seen many posts where users have placed like two to three photos on a particular post. Am talking of photos that are usually in between texts, and I have wondered how you do it? Yesterday I thought I had finally got the answer when I saw an icon on the toolbar that when you direct the cursor to says "Insert Image". I did just that but when my post finally got uploaded, shock on me, there was only the article image...
I have tried to figure it out on my own but my efforts have been futile. I am now here asking FOPP on the technique you employ to incorporate multiple images in a single post. Help a brother. Its always a learning experience... :)

I best look for that info too then. I tried, and failed, just recently to insert a second photo. Thanks for the update and good luck.

On the icon for inserting a photograph there is an option to upload a gallery. You upload your photos there, first. Then you click the tab labelled gallery and add the photo you want. I am writing on my tablet at present but if it would be useful, I could do an article including screenshots later on (several hours later on).
