Why Christmas is not celebrated two times a year

Don't you love all the festivities involved with the auspicious festival of Christmas? I love the bon homie during the festival. The real Christmas maybe near but imagine how we wait, say from March to December.

Can we not have two Christmases? I was just wondering how brilliant it would be if I could have all the excitement of Christmas twice a day.

You see life is full of tensions and your constant endeavour to get better and ahead in life. I am constantly trying to think of ideas that will pay me more money, I had invested some money into stock market- so I have to think about what stocks to buy and which ones to stay away from, there's also the ever increasing tension on how to spend less. Our minds are constantly balancing between what to do and what not to do.

I enjoy the Christmas holiday and the general goodwill of the season, but for many people the expectations of what they ought to be able to provide and be that time of year is anxiety-provoking. Life is full of tensions, I agree with you there. I think each of us has to find methods or ways of thinking to relieve the stress on a more frequent basis.

As much as I enjoy Christmas, I'll gladly skip all the hassle and preparation that goes into it. Plus, the traffic during the Christmas season is really, really, really bad!

I don't have any preferences of one holiday over another, but I do have to say like allen0187 that I'd gladly skip the hassle of Christmas. The holiday has become far too commercialized for me, and there is too much tension around making a family celebration "just right." I'm happy it only comes once a year!
