Ladies and Gents -- Images or Photos on Posts, Please!

I enjoy sharing to Pinterest and have modest success there with promoting my own and others' posts and articles. There are doubtless other writers here who do the same.

The problem? We can't share your posts to Pinterest without an image or a picture in the post. Okay, let me re-state that. Your posts without images could technically be posted to Pinterest, but each would have just the generic PersonaPaper logo. I like to promote PersonaPaper, but in a less direct way by featuring the writing of those who are members here.

I don't want my Pinterest page filled with repeated images over and over. Pinterest is a site for visuals. My best chance of success there, and of your post, is to have a unique image or photo.

Member BarbRad created an image (the one you see in this post) for anyone and everyone here to use freely. It has a Creative Commons CCO license. You can find it in her post My Gift to All of You in the Latest Referral Contest .

BarbRad created this image at shareasimage. There is also a site called PicMonkey where you can create images.

At any rate, please give my plea some consideration. Images or photos with a post -- with appropriate permission to use and appropriate credit given -- also add interest to the post for your audience.

Always best to use an image (or 3) with posts! ;) No matter for Pinterest or not. Ups the value tremendously :) Good advice my lovely friend :)

You can get free images at pixabay.com too.

That's a good point. I usually create simple images in Paint just to have a different image on most posts. Excellent advice for all!

Good advice! It makes it so much easier to pin a post if it has an image. People also tend to read a post if they are attracted to the image.

Well, I'll try. I'm just now realizing morguefile is as easy to use as it is. :)

I share your frustration! Quite often when I want to share a post on Pinterest, the user hasn't supplied an image :(

I have said this before. Those who post on pinterest with a view to Persona getting more Net presence, I do not see it at all - I am at sea here :(

A good image isn't just for Pinterest, either. They make posts stand out on Facebook and Twitter, too.

I try to put images on posts that have shareable content that is appropriate for Pinterest. I don't tend to put photos on content that's mostly personal or intended for my friends here or others who know me. Sometimes it's a matter posting without a photo or not posting at all.

I always have a picture with my articles. I find that it is more visually appealing with an image but that is just my opinion.
