The Waiting Game

I've been busy. Wait, scratch that. I've been really, really busy. You might remember that I wrote something about having to choose between two loves. I took the chance of a lifetime and went through the first two stages for a possible employment.

We started training Zander to bottle feed at night. Uhmm, no success yet. He'd take the bottle and allow someone else to feed him during daytime. But in the evening, he'll crawl towards the door, crying, looking for me.

We've tried leaving my shirt beside him so he could sniff my scent while he's asleep and think that I'm just there. No luck. What else are we to do?

Back to my job application, the waiting game has begun for the results. I took a pre-qualifying exam last August 29. The results will be released in a month. It was such a grueling exam I think my only hope is to pray really, really hard for this. I'm now decided. I want this job.

So far, I haven't experienced where I need to choose between two jobs that I like. I'm sure whatever job you have chosen, you exerted a lot of time thinking if that is the right job for you. Congrats!

Wishing you the best in getting that job!

For finally finishing night time feeding, I had to put my baby (now 35!) into the pram to sleep at night and when he cried, I went down and rocked it for a few minutes, which put him back over. He was well fed and at 17 months was ready for full weaning. It took 3 nights and that was it. No bottle needed.

Wishing the best of luck on getting the job and getting Zander to take the bottle at night!

If you want the job, I hope you gt it. Sounds like you've already invested a lot of yourself into it. Hope Zander adjusts if you get it.

I hope you get the job you want. Zander might take the bottle from someone else if you are not there. Good luck.

Good luck on the job! I started weaning my son (31 now), when he turned 14 months and it took me 4 months to do it. The last 4 weeks was only at nighttime and I think the last week was more for me. I was missing that mother to son touch. He was weaned to a cup and no bottle.

You should soon be learning the results of your pre-qualifying exam -- I hope all goes as you'd like it to. I hope, too, that you've had improved success with getting Zander to drink from a bottle at night.
