OK. I Changed My Shirt.

Some of you have been nagging me that it's time to get out of my shirt I've been so happy in. I have finally responded to the pressure and changed into my shirt. It was a gift from HubPages when I was active and winning awards and contests under my old account, WannaB Writer. It will be a long time before I get many allocades in the new account. I've worked hours there today, and I hope it pays off in at least better hub scores.

I can't tackle two of my best used-to-be lenses until I get back to my other computer, because it appears the backup materials I need are there. It amazes me that some of my best work that I'm really proud of that got some recognition at Squidoo is near the bottom on HubPages. I think part of the reason why is that somehow the video links got stripped from them. I've been putting them back today or replacing them with better ones or adding some where there were none. Maybe it would be more honest to say I spent a lot of the day enjoying .

Now it's time for bed. I've got two more hubs to edit tomorrow to stay on schedule.

What have you been doing today when you weren't here?

I'd like to have some of what the Hubpages algorithm coder takes! :)

My Squidoo lenses have finally made it across to Hubpages but I am astounded! My best lens has a note on it saying something like "this lens appears to be about "free downloads", which have been associated with poor quality lenses and is subject to moderation shortly". This is the lens that has been getting regular weekly views and was my highest ranked on Squidoo, which wasn't bad for lenses on academic stuff, which presumably don't get a lot of searches. Yes, it has one link to a free download for creating concept maps. The download is from a regular American University and the lens itself is about writing a literature reviews using concept maps - which you can draw by hand. I have even created a youtube video, linked to the lens, showing how to create a concept map using this decent software. I already have a Hubpages account under a different name but if I didn't, I would have to say that Hubpages certainly knows how to annoy new people!

Looks good! The Squidoo one will be a nice keepsake to have. I've been busy with work offline the last few days.

Hey. Nice shirt. What is a hub pages?

BarbRad That HubPages shirt looks good on you, hopefully pretty soon you will be wearing the official PersonaPaper Shirt!

There it is. You look like a hipster now.

It's 1:07 p.m. I'm still trying to get my brain to work, so I've mostly been doing easy "Get Paid To" stuff (videos & games), checking notifications, deleting emails, etc. Time to get serious now.

I don't know. Some of the blame may go to the ones at Squidoo who set up the export files that stripped the links to my videos, leaving only the intros as text capsules.

Maybe you can appeal to a human? Maybe the moderators will see there's nothing wrong with it.

BarbRad wrote on September 8, 2014, 1:28 PM

I will still wear my Squidoo shirts. They are of too high quality to leave sitting in a closet.

BarbRad wrote on September 8, 2014, 1:29 PM

It will probably be a while before Persona Paper comes out with shirts.

This is the day I was wakened early by the Monday morning alarm clock, AKA the trash man.

BarbRad That shirt looks nice. I have a question for you though. I am a member of Hubpages also. And I cannot add my Google Adsense account there because they banned me. Why I still don't know. Aside from Amazon and Ebay, how else can I earn there? And also why do I need to give them my tax information. I am not comfortable about that.

I like your shirt Barb. I'm afraid I know absolutely nothing about Squidoo and Hubpages.

AngelSharum wrote on September 8, 2014, 3:59 PM

Good luck getting things better at Hubpages. The shirt looks good. :)

That's a nice t-shirt . . . hope persona paper will also give away some shirts for us.

Gems wrote on September 8, 2014, 8:32 PM

I love that shirt of yours. I am a hubber too but I don't write articles there anymore. Maybe next time when but not now. I've been bubbling before I ogged in here. I write also for Bubblews.

BarbRad wrote on September 8, 2014, 11:56 PM

I honestly don't know how you would earn there except from your own Amazon and eBay affiliate accounts. Google thinks it is god, remember. (I won't capitalize it for Google.)

BarbRad wrote on September 8, 2014, 11:57 PM

No need to know if you aren't already at HubPages. Squidoo died and went to HubPages

BarbRad wrote on September 9, 2014, 12:00 AM

I am taking a break after five solid hours of work revising my hub that is tribute to my son, going to the store, and doing the dishes. Quite a few modules didn't make it into capsules at HubPages and I had to resurrect them.

BarbRad wrote on September 9, 2014, 12:01 AM

These were given as prizes. I think I got this for a Hubbie award, but it could have been for writing a Hub-of-the-Day.

BarbRad wrote on September 9, 2014, 12:07 AM

I like having a good body of work at one established site. I don't think Bubblews has shown it can last over the long haul.

Er, you noticed? There was another leak in my enclosed patio up here over the winter, so as we leave in a few weeks I finally cleared the spce out and attacked the black mold. About 30 artists pads were saturated, some with works in progress so the colors ran onto the carpet.

MegL wrote on April 14, 2016, 2:26 AM

Have I got your Hubpages account on the lists of where people went? I took a quick glance but don't see it there.

BarbRad wrote on April 16, 2016, 1:40 PM

I thought I'd added them. I was there long before here. I'm WannaB Writer and BarbRad there. http://hubpages.com/@barbrad & http://hubpages.com/@wannabwriter. Thanks again .
