My 5 year old little girl was hit by pick up truck =(

On August 27th, 2014 my daughter was waiting for the bus for school and she saw it coming down the highway. She crossed the road and didn't see the red pick up truck coming and was struck. I went nuts seeing my little girl laying on the side of the road.. I though the worst! I prayed she was okay. The ambulance came parimedics checked her over and said she had NO broken bones but on x-ray could actually tell me the real damage. She got a CT scan and x-rays and we found out she had a fractured pelvis a tear in her liver and bruised lungs. She was quickly air lifted to Le Bonheur Childrens hospital in Memphis to be tested. We were in the hospital for 6 days and she was released on September 2nd. The day before her 6th birthday. She has to walk on a walker for a little while and the pelvis and liver will heal on their own. I thank God she is okay! It's amazing how quick things can happen with a blink of an eye! =( We're doing good though she gets to go to school soon we just need to get a wheel chair. She can't walk long distances yet. Within 30 minutes of the accident almost everyone in town knew and they all prayed for her.. Since we've been home she's had tons of visitors come by with gifts and cards.

Oh my that is horrific. I am glad she is okay now. My younger sibling was hit by cars. Once riding a bike and once getting out of my mom's car at school. My sibling was not injured as badly as your little girl though

Oh my goodness! That is just awful that it happened. But , it could have been so much worse. Glad she is back to school and can celebrate her birthday. I pray for her full recovery. Hugs to all of you!

Sometimes you just cannot watch them, if you had a rope tied round them, as my mother-in-law used to say! The roads are SO dangerous. Glad she is recovering. Hope she continues to do well.

That must've been such a scary experience for you all. Glad to hear she's okay. It's good for her she has parents who care. Mine would've never had me checked out.
