2 Weeks, 1 Backpack: How to Pack for Vacation

2 weeks, 1 carry-on bag? No problem.
- 7 pairs of socks
- 7 pairs of underwear
- 5 shirts of various warmth
- 1 tank top
- 1 jacket
- sleeping gear
Roll each item up before placing it into the bag. You may also need to stop at this point to remove the cat. Carry on.
- 1 pair of jeans
- 2 skirts
- 1 pair of fancy shoes (loose, not in box)
Now for the long front pocket of the backpack.
- 1 notebook
- 1 mini travel book
- 1 novel
- passports, tickets and cards
- 1 laptop and charger
And the smaller front pocket.
- 2 weeks worth of medication
- 3 vitamin bottles filled with lotion, shampoo and conditioner
- 1 mini bottle of contact solution
- extra contact lenses
- bar of soap
- tube of toothpaste
Did I miss anything? I have a day or so to figure it out :) And don't forget that your body can carry stuff, too! Climb onto the airplane wearing 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of shoes, a hoodie, sunglasses and a purse.
Ta-da!
No checking bags, no picking up bags, no lugging them around airports and streets.
Win-win-win!

Can you imagine the havoc cat could wreak on a plane?

25,000 in cash, American Express, Visa, Mastercard, passport and drivers license. I think that covers everything I need on a trip.

That looks pretty sufficient to me. Where are you going? Do you need a swim suit or beach towel? When we went to Europe though, I took a small kettle fitted with 2 cups. I packed 2 bowls, 2 plates, 2 bowls, 2 wine glasses, 2 cutlery sets, cork screw, and one good knife. I wished I had packed a couple of dish cloths. Have a great trip!

Towels are a great idea! A la The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy :) Should be good on kettle and dishes since we are renting a fully-fitted apartment. Yay!
