I hear nothing

After 6 weeks of chaos, constant noise, constant arguing, bickering, having to watch cartons and kids films, after constant demands for food/money/etc etc and hearing im bored for the 50 thousandth time, im finally alone.

The children have gone back to school today, entering years 6 and 10, they were so excited to go back and i must confess so was i ha ha.

As much as i love them dearly i had almost forgotten what it was like to just sit and think, to have control of the remote and have that sneaky biscuit , without the kids trying to take it all away from me.

Right now im wrapped up on the sofa with my quilt resting my sprained foot, im about to find a nice film to watch, ill enjoy my day, i hope my girls enjoy their day too, here they are just before they left this morning.

Great photos. The girls look happy but they seem to be thinking- "Oh well, we have to go back to school"

You are not alone. Millions of parents are discretely rejoicing.
