By in Persona Paper

I'm Giving Away 5,000 More Coins! FOUR WINNERS! (Better? Haha)

I really want to see PersonaPaper make it, in such a way, as to later be accused of “keeping the light on” because it would be true. I wouldn't be ashamed of it either.

All you nice folks in the last contest were judged by an idiot who chose Ellis over much funnier authors who also knew how to spell theater. (I'm playing Ellis You're awesome and you know it.)

This – And you all also had to endure - to then needing to endure . Those too, ugh The . I've come to realize a contest might be infinitely more fun if I'm not involved.

Now is the time to be active in referring, while Bubblews is having difficulties with Facebook!

I want my stuff read but not by inciting a bunch of drama and psycho-abuse like some other folks might. I'd rather buy my fame by sharing my results with you folks here in the get-go.

How it will work-out is:

1. First place, highest number of referrals, at the point when the site reaches 5,000 active members/”Personae”/users wins 2,000 coins!

2. Second place, second-highest number of referrals at the point where the site has 5,000 members/”Personae”/ users wins 1,000 coins!

3. The referrer of whomever wins first place also receives 1,000 coins!.

4. The referrer of whomever wins second-place also receives 1,000 coins! (That's 4 winners! 5,000 COINS!)

5. Ties, other circumstances, result in even splits with winners.

6. Winner is determined by admin at the point when the membership reaches a grand total of 5,000 active enough members. Nobody need to follow or tag anyone they wish not too.

7. I've asked admin to hold my 5,000 coins in escrow now, for the determined winner. It's merely a matter of time. They're both busy. Well, we all know where the coins are, right?

8. In addition to your entry, qualified referrals earn you the typical bonus, as well. So, just making the referrals, everybody wins, still. I really, really enjoy those, “everybody wins” arrangements.

I just wanted something to engage us all into making this site a growing, active, popular site and fun to be on – especially considering we're getting virtual cash, in the form of these gold coins. While they can be redeemed for cash, I'm waiting for the day they're use-able on/for other products/services/auctions.

So, here's to hoping elitecodex will simply link this very article into the announcements page, please. And everyone get to setting their referral link into a link shortener like tinyurl.com with a keyword you'll remember, to share locally in your community.

Good with ! Give this your and we ALL !

Even if you're not the best referral-finder on Earth, share your referral link, via a tinyurl.com shortened link, with an easy keyword you'll remember. Then, give it away on invitations to everyone in town.

I know all my friends are lazy but I will give it a try. Thank you for the effort to make this site better.

Feisty56 wrote on September 1, 2014, 6:26 PM

I'm going to give it my best shot, not because I think I'll win, but because I think we'll all win as more writers join. Thanks once again for your generosity.

LoudMan wrote on September 1, 2014, 6:30 PM

Shadi Feisty56 Do y'all find this fair and a better contest, altogether? Anybody else Tag me with .

allen0187 wrote on September 1, 2014, 6:37 PM

Not the best person to recruit people to this sort of thing. I'm selfish in some sort of weird way but thanks in advance for hosting another contest LoudMan .

This is really for those who use social networks and oodles of followers to take full advantage of...but good idea nonetheless...

Scorpie wrote on September 1, 2014, 7:56 PM

I think it is a terrific idea because some people might forget to work on referrals. The site has only 500 or so members and 5000 might take awhile. I might not even live that long.

LoudMan wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:19 PM

It's only each member averaging 10 apiece. Now, you know many will do none. But those who do, will do so, to the hundreds and thousands, apiece.

Fractal wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:20 PM

A splendid idea.
It will (hopefully) bring in new members and put PP on the map.
The winner will not be me. Well not directly - I suppose that I may win more viewings etc, but the winner will be someone who is familar with and indulges in the many aspects of the social networks.
Good luck to whoever that may ultimately be.

LoudMan wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:21 PM

At least tell about us to your family or local friends.

Scorpie wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:22 PM

Of the total membership only about 10 percent are active.

LoudMan wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:23 PM

No no no! Go to tinyurl.com and shorten your referral link with a keyword you'll remember. Then share that link with local folk you interact with via a business card.

LoudMan wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:24 PM

Okay, so this ups the average to about 100 referrals per active member then. LOL! No LOL!

Scorpie wrote on September 1, 2014, 8:29 PM

With the average response rate being a half of a percent each persona would need to refer twenty thousand individuals.

MegL wrote on September 2, 2014, 1:42 AM

OK, that's doable! LOL

MegL wrote on September 2, 2014, 1:44 AM

loudman , I am not really active on social networks, I write about them because I know I should be (active there) but this will be a good test of whether I put into practice what I am trying to learn about. So I will have a go at this but first I have to find out where to get my referral link. I THINK it might be on the drop down list, not sure, will go and check up.

astraldreamer wrote on September 2, 2014, 1:47 AM

loudman , i think its a great idea but do you know what the rules are on link exchanging? i use traffic exchange for my website and i understand i cant put my article links on there but what about just my referral link? is that allowed?

SandraLynn wrote on September 2, 2014, 3:45 AM

Well I shall do my darn best. My referral link is definitely out there :) Though I haven't yet seen anything for the four I have... And whether or not the other one thrives or dies, I gotta go with the one who I can trust and right now this one is it.

LoudMan wrote on September 2, 2014, 7:07 AM

I doubt it. the idea of avoiding traffic exchanges would be to avoid them. But, ask admin. They might have a different thought.

LoudMan wrote on September 2, 2014, 7:07 AM

what? You can't trust me.

PriscillaKing wrote on September 2, 2014, 9:24 AM

Anyone referred to this site by me would probably come from Bubblews, which bans referral links. But I'm plussing.

nbaquero wrote on September 2, 2014, 10:42 AM

LoudMan one more time thanks for your ideas and your willingness to increase the membership of the site. This is a great initiative, and hopefully an effective way of increasing the membership by almost 10-fold. Good luck to everyone!!

AngelSharum wrote on September 2, 2014, 3:40 PM

It is worth a shot. I will post my referral link and see what happens.

melody23 wrote on September 2, 2014, 3:49 PM

I think anything that helps bring in new members is a great idea! I don't think I will come close to winning, most of the writers I know now do pretty much contract work exclusively but that's not going to stop me posting my referral link on twitter and some forums I belong to. I will do whatever I can to help, and this is one way we can all help the site.

LoudMan wrote on September 2, 2014, 7:31 PM

I'm sure you know others, not on social networks, too.

LoudMan wrote on September 2, 2014, 7:32 PM

It's on the drop-down, just under your bank.

BarbRad wrote on September 3, 2014, 1:29 AM

I understand Facebook is allowing Bubblews links again, but I have only been posting for this site. Right now I think most writers are obsessed with getting their work moved from the sites that have closed or are closing. I will keep referring, contest or no contest, just because it's the right thing to do. I know some will never come as long as some other sites pay better. So refer away, but also post quality articles here.

BarbRad wrote on September 3, 2014, 1:37 AM

Although I commented above, I'll add something here. I have six referrals so far. Two may have some through links on my blogs or social networks. One sought me out and asked for a link and has become one of our most active members. (Thank you, suffolkjason .) Three responded to personal email or messaging invitations. I still think personal invites to people you know are active writers is the best way to go. It's easy to ignore a referral link in a post.

Saramarie wrote on September 3, 2014, 1:40 AM

Sounds great I am interested. How do you go about doing it though? Just link this page? I am a bit confused and i want to enter!

SandraLynn wrote on September 3, 2014, 3:49 AM

I never said that, lol. Though now that you mention it... emoticon :straight-face:

I've actually never really considered it... I don't know ;)

nitsbubb wrote on September 3, 2014, 12:19 PM

That is the great contest, I will surely try to get more and more referral's !!

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:32 PM

Well, then we need to double those numbers, just to factor in those who slip through. :P

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:33 PM

When we all end up with more readers/activity/other things and stuffs, we'll all win. That's why I'm doing this again. :)

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:34 PM

Okay then.

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:34 PM

I'm sure you know of others too, though. How about your local community?

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:36 PM

I hope it works. I consider my coins already spent. I also think, once this site hits the 5,000-member-point, there will be no looking back. We'll all joke about way back when there were only 500 members.

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:37 PM

Good point. The work we post here will either be to or credit or our detriment, for a long, long time.

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:40 PM

If you'll go to the dropdown list (where you also go to post an article) you'll see a link for "Your referrals." This is also where you find your referral link. Share that link with others and get them to sign up Saramarie . Your friends are also eligible to win. If you don't win but you still refer the winner, you still get some coins. :)

LoudMan wrote on September 3, 2014, 5:42 PM

Well, good luck in the contest. I hope you enjoy the results, too.

Ruby3881 wrote on September 11, 2014, 5:05 PM

I'm just coming back from a two-week absence, and it was a pleasant surprise to find both this post and your comment emoticon
I think: a) I also spell it "theatre," and b) it's a great idea to focus on recruitment!

LoudMan wrote on September 11, 2014, 11:34 PM

I hope so too. We'll all do better with more members.
