New Updates on Bubblews..Can we Have it here too?

Well I don't write about Bubblews here but this morning I found out they have added the ability to put on the post. That is a big and I hope they will return the multiple pictures. They had it before but when the new upgrades came it disappeared.

Another site Wikinut has been allowing videos and pictures on their site. Pretty good too. Another site I'm writing is thinking of it too. They just started with the pictures and also planning on the videos.

elitecodex and MaeLou would that be possible here too? I think it would be good too. Bubblews is allowing Youtube videos and also Wikinut.

What I have noticed is not many will watch the videos. I did post a couple of video links here but received no comments. Watching videos is time consuming.

I am glad for the youtube videos. It will really help the viewership.

On Bubblews it is automatically on your page no need to go to another site to watch also like in Wikinut

I doubt videos will help with interaction there. I hardly get any comments these days over there and in some of the articles I write, I ask questions with in my articles and hardly anyone will answer.

Something like Face Book I suppose But believe me there is no demand for videos - that's my experience. I have created so many videos. I am youtube too.

We do have plans for you to be able to include video's in your posts, but that will come after we finish the current front page redesign and the blogger section. After that, we will focus our attention on the advertising and other updates. Including links to videos is one of those. I can't promise a date as to when it will be live, but it is something we want to add moving forward.

Yeah we definitely do not want videos to be a focus, but sometimes when you write an article specifically referencing a video it would be nice to be able to embed that video instead of having someone else need to open it in another window.

Or if you are writing a tutorial, including a video demo with the article would be nice. It just has to be used wisely.

I have posted a few links here but no takers emoticon  I am sure that was not because the videos were boring but at writing sites people have no time to view them. Sometimes downloading videos takes eons.

I was not aware of this news. Gee the things I miss while at work, making teh noms.

Thing about Wikinut that always stops me from writing there is the lewd ads full of half naked people. I can't very well write about a Christian topic and then subject my readers to a half naked woman or man afterwards.

paperdaisyflower7 wrote on August 29, 2014, 2:14 AM

ye I noticed that too and on other sites

Lowdown0 wrote on August 29, 2014, 2:17 AM

This site is not like that though, which I appreciate.

I do know that the PP site admins are planning to have embedded videos in our posts. That feature is in the pipeline.

I posted one there that would want everyone to watch but sadly there were no comments emoticon

I agree totally. There are so many serious issues that need to be addressed. Redemptions, the ban on editing, and the wreck of all the multiple photo posts top my list. They really don't seem to care. They just move on to the next pretty play toy, hoping to pacify us with something new and shiny.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 29, 2014, 11:39 PM

I appreciate you actually having a PLAN, and choosing to focus on the most important things first. Videos are a nice option, but they aren't vital. I also appreciate the care you take to be able to support what's currently available before moving on to the next thing.
