Some people lie because they are protecting someone, but too bad if they are doing it because they are protecting themselves. We are all people, we have our reasons why we do things that other people do not.
I have a friend who always tells me that everybody lies. I cannot agree with him because I am always being true to myself and to other people.
I know some people who do it to save their asses but it is not right.
How about your insight about this, do you believe that everybody lies?
I agree with everybody lies but not always. What I cannot agree with is that people lie because they are protecting themselves, or they are protecting other people. In our church, our pastor always reminds us that the truth will set you free. Being free is what I want, to tell the truth is what is always right.
What if you are in a situation between life and death? Are you going to tell the truth or just lie to live?
Is there a white lie? They said white lie is not a lie at all as long as you are doing it right.
Not all lie but many do. I personally do know someone who is a compulsive liar. This person is not trustworthy at all. It is sad that I don't believe anything they say anymore.
One of the biggest lies anyone's ever said is they don't lie. And, if christianity is involved, it's little more than a seemingly-never-ending thread of lies. :)

If you start telling lies. you cannot do good for anyone in the long run.
