Difficult writing here

It is difficult to write on this platform when their primary competitor is paying so much more. The start of this site was very timely as that was when those others site was a total mess. However, the loss of adsense has diminished the value of spending too much time here.
This is now a negative on this site because I do like it, but pure economics plays a very strong role in where I spend my time.
Being one of those retirees who does not have a million dollar nest egg, I need to generate as much income in retirement as I can. I know, what kind of retirement is this. Well my wife still does the 8-5 routine so the least I can do is be productive while I sit at home online.
I really would spend more time here if the number at the top of the page was .01 instead of .001. I wonder if the other guys had anything to do with all that.
I am Ketchingup.

This issue has been dealt with and despite the low earnings we get new members every single day. This site has promise. You need to be patient.

I'm with &AbbyG , you go ahead and do what's best for you. Earning is important to some but others see things differently.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Well, if being here is so bad, nobody's making you stay (But it's addictive, aint it?).

Perhaps just one post a day and several comments to help the site grow. It dangerous to only have one place to write.

I agree with you, I can not spend all my time where I am not making money. Although I like this site and hope that in the future it will pay better, unfortunately I can't live on my good looks and great personality (LOL) I need money to survive :)

I understand and feel somewhat the same way. They didn't plan on the Adsense fiasco and are determined to keep going hoping revenues will pick up. I only post once a day, so I am not planning on this being a major source of income. But, I do like it here a lot. I am sjerzgirl at that other place.

With this kind of site, I tend to limit myself. I still visit and post just about every day, but I don't spend hours on end here. I know that my time is worth more than that. And I hope that this site lives up to its potential and gives its writers the opportunity to earn more in the future. :)

One thing I would say is, with this other site, you really don't know if you will be paid. Many people don't and haven't gotten paid from them. If you add up all the times they don't pay, you would likely get a .001 rate of pay from them as well.

Of course, much has changed since you first wrote this article. What are your thoughts now?
