Domain Privacy and Company Information Link on Our Website

One of our members has brought up a great question that I feel I should answer with its very own post. They were asking about two items specifically - the domain privacy and the company information link. See below for an answer on each.

Domain Privacy

When I initially launched this website, I was still a member of another site ( that I believe elitecodex has vaguely posted about ) that had a similar model to the way this site was setup. While I do not wish to post any personal beliefs about that particular site, I felt that they had a good model, but handled it poorly. I felt it could be done better - which was a big part of me launching this site. In light of how strict they are with unwritten rules, I did not want to take the chance of being banned simply for this site existing. Since I launched this site, I have stayed away from that site altogether and to be honest, with the amount of traffic they receive I am probably not even on their radar yet. Be that as it may, my primary reason for using the domain privacy was an attempt to keep others from finding out who I really am so they could not take action against me or anyone I knew on the site.

Company Information

As I have previously stated, I launched this site with no outside sources of funding. That is why the exchange rate is to low and why I am limited in my ability to market this sites existence. With that in mind, I do want to eventually setup myself a separate company in the state which I reside as an LLC but since that requires additional funds that I currently do not have, that was delayed. Since my company does not yet technically exist, that link goes nowhere for the time being.

I want to reiterate that I take a very transparent policy to this site, and I welcome any and all questions that anyone has about this site. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about this site.

I do not want anyone to feel like I am trying to scam anyone at this site. I respect people who choose not to participate and I respect those who are cautious. There are a ton of sites out there that promise to pay you for doing very easy tasks, and while some do there are also alot of them that just try to scam their way out of your money. I just look forward to the day that the ad revenue begins to come in so I can start paying out to our founding members (and anyone else who joins) and prove to them that the value of this site belongs to them and we are not a scam, in any sense of the word.

Personally, I just want to share my ideas about certain things. I am thankful for this site because it has serve as my venue for my thoughts. Let's just continue the vision of this site and worry about the payment later on. Besides, if one wants to write, payment should only be secondary....

we are currently in a humble beginning but I hope eventually we will be able to built this site gradually, slowly but surely. I think a fast growth will be overwhelming and hard to handle but a gradual growth will be the beginning of something beautiful.

As someone who has worked with domains where you sometimes have to put your foot down and might even occasionally have to ban someone, I certainly would understand if you keep your info private until you can establish the company. Believe me, the last thing you want is some psycho getting your home phone number and calling you at all hours to protest their being blocked or a post being removed.

Having come onto the scene only very recently, I just want to say that I respect the measures you took to protect your own privacy. I don't feel this interferes in any way with the transparency of the site, and I also feel that you are steering the site in the direction the other site should have taken. Yes, this means a few bumps and bruises along the way. And of course you aren't going to please everyone. But I have faith that Persona Paper can grow into something very significant, and most successful :)
