Being a Sweet Punkin Ain't All it's Cracked Up to Be, by Guiness the Cat

Hello, it is me, Guiness the Cat. Guiness the such a good kitty . Guiness the such a good boy . Guiness the sweet punkin . Guiness the docile.

She called me docile . And said she was glad of it!

Docile .

( I'm loving this italics button, but that's beside the point right now .)

Don't listen to all that bragging Debbi's doing about me. Yes, it is true that I am such a good kitty. Yes, it is true that I am such a good boy. Yes, it is true that I am a sweet punkin. Yes, it is true that I am the best diabetic kitty in the world about shot time. But all that bragging is just covering up the fact that Debbi stuck me in a bucket of water, covered me with shampoo, and then sprayed more water all over me and wouldn't let me go no matter how pitifully I maohed.

And then bragged about how I was such a good kitty and such a good boy and such a sweet punkin, and said she was glad I was so docile.

Docile!

I'm telling you, being a sweet punkin is not all it's cracked up to be. Seriously.

Sincerely, Guiness the Soft and Fluffy Cat Who Smells Good

No wonder Guinness looks a bit dazed! It's a wonder he didn't stick his claws in you. He really must be docile to take a bath. I wouldn't even TRY it with out cat and she is about 14 years old - she would lash out!

LOL, poor thing. At least it is over and done with now.

Ah Guinness, I've missed you. It can be just our secret that although you are a good kitty, a good boy and a sweet punkin, you are not docile but a very good actor. : )

I expect he will forgive you.............eventually..

This is Guiness the Cat. Well, she did go buy me new cat food, some insulin, and a whole pound of treats, even if she did make me pay for them myself.

This is Guiness the Cat. I am a panther. Panthers aren't docile. They don't take baths in buckets, either.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 21, 2014, 10:28 PM

With shampoo that makes them soft and fluffy and smell good.

This is Guiness the Cat. Until next time. Debbi wants to give me baths more often to try to get rid of some of the fleas. We think my last flea treatment might have made me feel bad.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 21, 2014, 10:33 PM

This is Guiness the Cat. I maohed and maohed as pitifully as I could, but I only struggled a little bit. Mostly I just took it like a wimp.

Guiness - you do not look at all happy! I can't imagine how I would feel being forced to endure such treatment. I might not have claws, but I'd certainly leave bruises!! Still, you do look very fluffy and soft and I'd love to stroke your fur.

This is Guiness the Cat. This is how you would look if someone tried to drown you in a bucket. I am soft and fluffy, though.

Guiness, I love that expression on your face. If Debbi is still unharmed after your bath you must really be a good kitty.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 22, 2014, 11:21 PM

This is Debbi. I am quite unharmed by the bath. It was the 3 times in the last couple of days that Guiness has literally launched himself into my lap to get his shot that has my legs all scratched up, and one of those I even changed into long pants first for protection.

WordChazer wrote on August 23, 2014, 8:48 AM

Wow, bless him Yes, he truly is docile. I'd ask you to hug him for me if it didn't involve messing up that lovely sweet smelling fur!

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 23, 2014, 10:35 PM

I'll give him a hug for you. It won't mess up his hairdo, I promise. You should have seen him when he was still wet. His hair is long enough to curl.

My condolences Guiness and for my part, I would rather go around a little less soft and fluffy and skip the trauma! I hope you don't have to go through this ordeal again any time soon.

This is Poof the Cat and I just gotta say that new portrait of your slightly ticked-off self is absolutely awesome. The bath seems like a bit much, but we may have to forgive your human since she publicized how HANDSOME you are.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on December 10, 2014, 2:17 AM

This is Guiness the Cat. Me, too.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on December 10, 2014, 2:21 AM

This is Guiness the Cat. I do look outstanding, don't I? I had a very successful photo shoot that evening. Actually what I was ticked off about in that picture was Debbi singing to me. I do not like it when Debbi sings to me, and I say so.

LilyDay wrote on February 2, 2015, 10:48 AM

Guiness, even my sweetest kitty would try to shred me for inflicting such trauma. Actually, he can be the worst of the trio about being bathed.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on February 2, 2015, 2:23 PM

This is Guiness the Cat. Debbi keeps claiming I'm docile. It's embarrassing.
