No Sleep All Night

I do not like it when I cannot sleep. I have not slept at all this past night. It is now nearly 4:30 a.m. PDT. I have to be up in an hour so, it won't do much good to try to get a nap.

I have to teach today, so I will be up on my feet for eight hours trying to engage a group of people during the first day of the workshop. This is usually the most difficult of the days, as it is the day that they are making up their mind if I have any credibility and/or information that they believe is beneficial to them.

I already have a headache from the lack of sleep. Perhaps, I should try to get an hour of rest before the alarm goes off.

Either way, it is going to be a long day.

Nothing worse than just lying there trying to sleep...I get up for five minutes and start again..

I feel for you. I've had nights like that myself -- usually when something important is required of me the next day. Try to get some sleep when you get home and then tell us how your day went later on.

Sometimes any little bit helps--if you can get only an hour's rest, think of it as a "power nap".

Been there (Insomnia Land), done that (became a zombie), got the T-shirt.

Sleep deprivation...not good.

Though I usually find that when it's a new course, I am so wired up that I cannot sleep. But once it's over BAM! I am out like a light!
