Today's Thrift Store Haul

I enjoy thrift store shopping for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is saving hard-earned cash. When I have a need for a clothing item, the first place I go to is the thrift shop. If I can't find what I want there, then it's onto a regular store.

Sometimes at the thrift shop I am able to find a top and bottom and just need, then, to go elsewhere to find accessories, or sometimes pick up accessories such as a scarf at the thrift store for an outfit I already own. Another perk for me of thrift store shopping is that I'm able to pick up brand-name clothing I would not be able to afford at department store prices.

As you can see from the photos above and below, today I came away from the thrift store with two blazers, each with a brand-name label, a pair of Riders blue jeans, and a brand-name top to wear with the red blazer. All this for the bargain price of $15!

I have enough money leftover from these purchases to buy a new pair of shoes or a scarf to go with one of the blazers. This is no-guilt shopping at its finest for me.

Don't you feel just super after you've made your choices and everything is rung up at the cash register? I usually walk away with an entire bag of stuff for what I would have paid for one item elsewhere.

I have a much larger wardrobe because I shop at the thrift stores. Are you a bargain hunter?

I hate wearing new clothes, I like them worn in a bit...

That really was a good haul. Maybe it's time for me to make another trip to a thrift store.

Those are awesome purchases! I shop in thrift stores as well. Knowing that you just saved on your purchase is nice. Beating everyone else to that item is the icing on the cake!

I have issues finding clothes that fit me at thrift stores as I am a heavier set person. I love going to my local (well as local as it can be) Walmart as they have clothes that fit me. Last time I was there, I was able to find a nightgown that fits me perfectly (which I had been searching for one for about 7 months with no luck in my town.) I guess that once I start losing more weight then I will be able to shop at thrift stores and save some money.
