Art, you say?

Drawing to me and with me involved are a bunch of lines (horizontal, vertical or lines that will make your math teacher cringe), curves, circles, triangles, and a whole lot of shapes that only a 5 year old can appreciate. To put it in perspective, I like to draw stick figures.

A tread on my art classes whilst growing up never helped at all. Even my humanities class never changed the way I'd handle drawing. In all honesty, I can whole heartedly appreciate art, however art never liked me since day one. There's one masterpiece that I made several years ago. Oh yes! Spongebob Squarepants almost took his clothes off for the sake of art; however we agreed that he should be decent because he his a known figure and kids love him (do they?).

Today is the unveiling of my first and hopefully not my last work of art. Lo and behold Spongebob Squarepants on his newly washed and starched clothes.

That's definitely art! The face has character and expression. Don't change your drawing, it's YOUR style, no one else's.

Many thanks for your appreciation. :) I know I shouldn't compare myself to Picasso, Rembrant and many others.

I think it was the composer John Cage (who once wrote a piece that required the orchestra to do absolutely nothing for 4 minutes and 33 seconds) who said that art is whatever you can get away with!

As I'm not familiar with Mr. John Cage, I did a little research on him. Seems to me that he's a genius.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? This really appealed to the art teacher in me. Keep drawing--I love it!
