To Santa Barbara on Business Again Tomorrow

This time we don't have to go all the way to Ventura. The business is in Santa Barbara. Our Realtor told us that she is expecting three offers to be presented to buy our Ventura building and she wants us at her office tomorrow for her to present them. On one hand we really want to sell the building so we won't have to worry about managing it and continuing to make all those trips to Ventura. On the other hand we aren't planning to accept just any old offer.

Meanwhile, we did rent the upstairs unit in the building last night to the woman who came to see it when we were in Ventura last Thursday. That is a big relief, and the money is in the bank. We are hoping she will be as happy as she expects to be there. We are also hoping having that last unit rented will make the building easier to sell.

Since we are only going to Santa Barbara, we don't have to leave quite as early as we would to go to Ventura. We expect to stop for an early lunch at Hometown Buffet in Santa Maria, and from there it's only another hour to Santa Barbara. I seriously doubt if there will be an offer we are willing to accept, but we can always hope. It's been a good investment for us and the building is in good shape now. We bought it because of the cash flow it provided, and it should provide the same for someone else. I probably won't be online much tomorrow on account of the trip. I only use my not-smart phone for emergency phone calls, not working online.

The photo shows my husband walking ahead of me to the real estate office where we will be tomorrow. If you want a better view, right click and choose open in new tab . I'll let you know after we get home what happens there.

Good luck in selling your property. Hopefully, you get the best possible offer available.

Let me guess your other investments: Manufacturers of Barbed Wire, Barbie Dolls and Barbecues. :)

Safe travels and good luck RE the sale, to whomever and however :)

I have a hometown buffet coupon on my smart phone. I was thinking of using it tomorrow before we get on the train as the restaurant is sort of enroute to the station. Good luck with your realtor.

Yay on the rental! I hope you get at least one offer you can be happy with. I know you'd love to be rid of the work, worry, and bother.

We had to counter both offers, and I don't expect the counters to be accepted. But, who knows.

I've never been a Barbie fan. She hadn't been invented yet when I played with dolls. I'm not much for the wire, either, as it sometimes impedes my photography. I do invest some in Barbecues, though.

We have countered the offers we got, so it's wait and see time.

I can't tell you. I haven't spent much time there, though I did walk around a bit today.

We have a good Realtor. (Still can't get used to that being a proper noun.) Our meal at Hometown Buffet was good, but the music was not our type and way too loud. Hope you have a great trip.

I would have jumped at one of the offers today, but not Hubby. So we countered both and will wait for them to be refused. I'm quite sure Hubby won't go lower than his counters.
