Showcasing Persona Paper People is FUN!

Here we are in Week Three of showcasing Persona Paper People at Informed Sharing and I’m having a great deal of fun doing it. If you aren’t aware by now, I’ve spent the last two weeks sharing 16 (8 + 8 ) AWEsome Sauce writers from this community and by all accounts, it’s going quite well.

The only draw back I can see is that about half from each week have no idea they’ve been showcased. I’m not sure what to do about that, as I don’t want to shove it in their faces. This sharing folks is more for me and for others then it is for the writers I’m talking about, really.

Maybe I’ll do a round-up by the month - what do you all think? Just share the entire 32 here and...eh, I don’t know. Again, I really just want it to be about people finding people and enjoying what they have to offer. Like what you like? Good. That’s the point.

To that end, let’s see who I’ve chosen for Week Three:

WOW and YAY!

Another fine list of 8 amazing writers that I've blogged about and added to Your Top 8 where they join their other Persona Paper PPers currently hanging out at one of my favorite places at Informed Sharing.

Chances are, you know many of the folks on this week 3 showcase and can attest to why I chose them. I know. It’s a no-brainer. No worries if you didn’t know them before, however; just go see them, NOW. Easy peasy.

You are welcome.

And if you want to get in on the action at Your Top 8 , you can. Simply write a piece here at Persona Paper, listing 8 (whatever), let me know, I’ll check it out, post a blurb about it, link it and your byline and you are good to go.

(See below why I love back-links and how they may earn you more!)

Please also accept my apologies, as this post (and this week’s PP Peeps Showcase at the blog) was originally scheduled for this morning; however, I needed to share something about the passing of Robin Williams. And so I did.

Congrats to those who are part of this Week Three Persona Paper Showcase - remember, it’s not a contest, merely me traipsing along and getting to know folks - and stay tuned for next week as we find more fun and fabulous PPers to share informatively.

~ Cheers

I'm a little slow, what did I do now?

Scorpie wrote on August 12, 2014, 12:46 PM

I think Ellis did it.

SandraLynn wrote on August 12, 2014, 1:03 PM

LOL. You did it now, Scorpie, it was all you. And I'm telling everybody. You're in trouuuuuble. ;)

JK. You'll have to meander over to the blog (link above) and see what I wrote. Or not. The choice is yours ;) Either way, it's a good thing, no worries :)

You are an unwitting participant, just sit back and enjoy the experience emoticon

SandraLynn wrote on August 12, 2014, 1:08 PM

Hmmmm. It isn't letting me respond directly to you, Scorpie ...

And elitecodex - I've had two things pop up telling me I needed to update my flash player this morning :( Just FYI. I didn't screen shot 'em, sorry :( If it happens again, I will and send them on the Heather... I'm going to reboot again (ugh).

I knew yesterday, &AbbyG , that this might be the perfect Bday present (as I am poor but love to give prezzies). Good thing I had it planned already ;) You are quite welcome, much deserved, and very definitely in good company - enjoy :)

I just had to log out and back in to comment, first time for that.

Anyhoo, thanks for your kind words, really. I strive to keep it real and fun without being too mean. You know me from the other site, I'm the cookie monster. You are a real joy to have around, regardless of the interface. emoticon

SandraLynn wrote on August 12, 2014, 1:27 PM

Cookie Monster? Scorpie - I do know YOU ;) nom nom nom ;) Sneaky bugger ain't ya, lol.

And okay, so Will: elitecodex it would appear we've got 3 things happening:
reply isn't working currently (1:26pm Tuesday afternoon)
malware? funkiness, I've rebooted twice this morning after being here.
Scorpie had to log out and log back in to comment.

Not sure what's up but now you know!

vserrao1 wrote on August 12, 2014, 1:45 PM

I would not know who to pick because there are so many good writers

Scorpie wrote on August 12, 2014, 1:54 PM

Guilty emoticon

I think I may have accidentally introduced a bug this morning during an update, and just realized it (the comments were not being organized either). Sorry about that, but it has been removed, and I am hoping this goes through to confirm that replies are working again.

Did you get something about malware? Or a download? Can you try to clear your cache? We removed Chitika over a week ago and edomz so you shouldn't be getting anything from them. Even though we removed them, we are still seeing a small amount of hits which means that code is cached somewhere.

SandraLynn wrote on August 12, 2014, 2:20 PM

Replies are working again so yay. I just came over because tinamarie noticed something odd when she tried to log in, too. It tried to tell her that Javascript needed to be enabled. I'll clear cookies; haven't done that recently (I don't recall, since you removed Chitika at least).

Thanks for being on it, always! :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 12, 2014, 2:21 PM

We are good to go now, Abby :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 12, 2014, 2:26 PM

Cleared. And now I'm moving around at warp speed by goodness and gosh almighty. I don't know why I didn't clear when I rebooted. I know better than that. I'll let you know if anything pops. I rarely get a pop up on the Mac, as a rule; so it surprised me... I told Tina to try logging in again and to remove her cookies (clear cache) too.

Ellis wrote on August 12, 2014, 5:49 PM

Oh my...thank you for including me among such talented writers....anybody wanna buy a shovel? lol

Feisty56 wrote on August 12, 2014, 7:05 PM

I second your mention of each and all of these individuals as interesting folks and great writers. I think a round-up of the 32 for the month would be great and provide more people the chance to meet some of the best folks to get to know.

BarbRad wrote on August 12, 2014, 8:26 PM

There's only one person on that list that I haven't met yet, so I'll have to go and get acquainted. Thanks for putting the spotlight on so many folks here.

SandraLynn wrote on August 13, 2014, 5:07 AM

Keep your shovel, John. We may need it later. ;) For now, we'll just keep doing this thing :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 13, 2014, 5:09 AM

I'll have to noodle the best way to present the round-up without it being all taggy and linky (lol) but I think that might be okay, if it's just monthly :) And they are. Good. :) YAY :) And there are so many more. OMGosh. So glad you are here now too, my friend :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 13, 2014, 5:11 AM

YAY :) Dontcha love meeting new folks :) It's really the best part, meeting the new and rediscovering the old friends, too :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 13, 2014, 1:04 PM

Awww, thank you, my dear. And many blessings for you going forward, no matter when you happen to see this ;)

I love to share and believe it's good to pass along good stuff (people/places/things). I hope it comes back, but I am not expecting it to. My motives are more selfish.

emoticon  it just feels good emoticon

Ruby3881 wrote on August 14, 2014, 2:04 AM

Wow! I'm blown away..... Thanks for the shout out, but most especially for the incredibly kind words in your blog :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 14, 2014, 6:51 AM

You are quite welcome and most deserved. ;) I simply wouldn't have done it, otherwise :)

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 14, 2014, 12:56 PM

I love the way you showcase other writers. It makes for such a sweet spirit of cooperation.

I remember my first day on the other place. After I had only posted two or three posts, someone I didn't know did a post recommending me. It made me feel so special. No one does that there anymore, which is a shame. She became a good friend on that site.

bridgetidelaney wrote on August 16, 2014, 9:45 PM

It's cool that you do this. It would be great if PP had a way to let us know we were tagged in articles! Then people would know when they are showcased!
