About 3 weeks ago I got a scooter from Medicare--see a previous post--I have problems walking more than a block or two and public transportation doesn’t come within that range--so it makes me a little more mobile. You use it as if it is a pedestrian--you ride it on the sidewalk only going on roads when you are crossing them--it is allowed in malls, movies, supermarkets, restaurants, etc., all places a pedestrian can go (though I don’t think I would take it in a restaurant--too awkward. I’ve been testing it out a little bit here and a little bit there but today I decided to give it a real test!
I am about to go on a big adventure--I am going to see how long it takes me to get to Winn-Dixie which is a mile (?) or 2 from Gateway--I don't need anything though I want to test run my baskets--can't get ice cream as it certainly would melt going 4 mph (top speed) so we will see.
If you don't hear from me in 10 days it will be time to send the dogs out! :O)

Went to Winn-Dixie and back--didn't go into WD which means I didn't get ice cream--and not a drop of rain fell!!!
Round trip took me 42 minutes--only used 1/4 of charged battery
There's no stopping me now!!!
Maybe the movie Wednesday! Or Key West! Or Disneyworld!

That is great you can get there and back on 1/4 of the battery. The city I go to shop has many people using these. It must be time for cities to start having charging stations!

GreatMartin You little rascal you. LOL. A scooter is a wonderful thing to have for someone who cannot walk a lot. You go my friend. Enjoy your freedom. Now, to only get a turbo boost on that thing. Nice!!!

Keep it up. I am glad you can be as mobile as possible.

I'm glad you got the scooter and it is working well for you. Be careful out there though.

I'd rather have my convertible back! LOL
