Palparan Arrested

Retired Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan Jr., one of the most wanted criminals, was finally arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation in Manila. Palparan was charged with kidnapping and serious illegal detention in the alleged abduction of two students from the University of the Philippines namely Sherlyn Cadapan and Karen Empeño. He had an arrest warrant issued on 2011.

Palparan was sighted in Sta. Mes, Manila on Monday and was arrested early morning of August 12.

Human rights activists have tagged Palparan, a former congressman, as a butcher due to his activities in extra judicial killings. Perhaps with this arrest, the victims can finally find justice.
