I Hate Windows 8!

Well, I was having so many problems with my old home computer that I bit the bullet and finally purchased a laptop!

I was so tired of all the errors and constant freezing up of pages that I just couldn't take it any longer...I had done everything I could to update the old computer, but after everything was said and done, it was still just an old computer!

The laptop is nice and all and I finally got it set-up somewhat, but this Windows 8 is driving me batty!

Have any of you ever used Windows 8 and do you also find it hard to navigate. I guess it will be alright, I just have to get used to it. Even with the navigation problems, it is still a far cry better than my old ancient dinosaur home computer system!

So, I guess I will spend some time getting used to it this weekend and getting everything set up the way I like, if I can figure it out!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!! :)

Never tried it. I have quite a few PC's and they are all XP still.

Scorpie I had "XP" also with the old system. LOL! Whenever you type "XP" without the quotations, you are sticking your tongue out at somebody! I found that out the hard way! HAHAHA!!! ;)

I use Windows 8 and at first I was a little scared of it, but now I like it a lot and wouldn't use anything else.

I use windows 8 but I am not happy with it. I don't see the point in the way the set it up. It still freezes and crashes.

My son fixed mine so it works almost like my old computer did. It still has the little boxes and all that, but I don't use them.

Navigating was a pain when I first got windows eight, every time I moved the mouse it thought I wanted to change pages, there's a way to fix that so it doesn't swap pages on you if that's what is annoying you. Synaptics (something like that) settings.

OMG yes I am the exact same, I finally bought a new laptop about six months ago and decided to go with windows 8 figuring that it was the best idea to get the newest thing, it might last longer and all that. I absolutely hate it! Is it windows 8.1? if not you will get an update within a few days that will make it slightly more bearable but it will take some getting used to

I got a new laptop as a gift and it has windows 8. Thankfully, my sister has a laptop that used windows 8, so I knew it was crazy and she told me what to do - Download something called Classic Shell. That way, you'll have a regular start menu and be able to access your files like you know how to do. All you have to do is google "classic shell" and it is the first result.

i don't like it, but download classic shell and thing are much better then.

Windows 8 is horrible, awful, and terrible. Especially with a laptop, because the touchpad always tries to pull the menus out over your desktop while you're working, and it's a huge interference. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I had a touchscreen, which is really the ONLY thing it is designed to work with. I don't understand why every other OS Microsoft comes up with is effed up. Windows XP was awesome, Vista sucked, 7 was awesome, 8 sucks. I was lucky enough to skip Vista, but I'm stuck with 8 and I loathe it. And it's my own stupid fault, because everyone TOLD me it was shizzle, and I could have gotten a computer with 7, but nooooooooooooo. FUWin8! Was that enough of a rant? lol

They've already stopped supporting xxxpppp, but I can't give it up--I still use it on my desktop!

I hope my phone and my computer never break. I hate learning any new system.

You'll figure it out. You're smarter than most and you know it.
