SEO – Is Ignorance Bliss or the Road to Broke?

There was a time when I thought the acronym SEO stood for one particular thing as opposed to a conglomeration of methods. Not willing to take the time to stretch my brain to learn about SEO, I spent year after year, randomly expecting my writing to produce miraculous results. I never thought about changing anything because I was making really good money and not dependent upon any residual or outside income.

Well, things have drastically changed for me, especially in the area of finances. So, I have recently decided that I sharpen my pencil, dust off my brain and begin to learn everything that I can about the process of search engine optimization. What could have been doesn't matter. What is stretched out before me is the focus of my efforts.

Truly, ignorance may seem like bliss, but more often it is the road to a loss of online revenue.

Thanks for reading - God Bless You

Some dorkus called me at the office once and wanted to know what my secret was to be so highly ranked. Years of hard work, it's no secret.

From the sounds of it, you're going to have quite a bit of learning and wisdom to share in this journey upon which you're embarking. Might that mean a series of posts on the topic of SEO will be forthcoming? : )

I take it the one thing you thought it was was "keyword density"?

LeslieAdrienne wrote on August 11, 2014, 12:07 PM

I know that's right. You can only get out what you put in.... little effort = little gain.....

LeslieAdrienne wrote on August 11, 2014, 12:10 PM

That would be the thing to do, and, yes that is my plan. I need to be organized about it though... there is nothing worse than trying to follow someone's posts that are out order or sync... you never know which one follows the other

Girlfriend, I didn't know what it was... a company? a logo? No, idea at all....

This is Guiness the Cat. SEO? No, silly human, the road to earning millions writing online is to write about cute kitties.

Looking forward to your posts about SEO. It is something that I'm unfamiliar with and something I'm looking to explore as well.

Thanks &Alleno187 , I am learning as I go. I will follow you so when I do write SEO posts, you will be able to see them... I haven't been very active lately but all of that is soon to change.

I admit, I know absolutely nothing about SEO. I know that I would probably earn a lot more on here (and Bubblews) if I did but now that my earnings are basically "extra" money, it just really doesn't seem worth the effort, especially since those types of posts that have a high SEO rating are not anything I am really interested in writing about. I just can't get motivated to write something just for the sake of the money, I have to have some interest in it or I wouldn't do it.
